NaPoWriMo #6

Prompt: Write a valediction/a goodbye of sorts

(I veered from this a little)

Swallowed whole, by a toad,

ashes, rest on wood

a life impaled,

constricted by plaster

and leather

spirit unbound

free as a dove.

“Who needs feet when I have wings to fly?”

Casa Azul,

fights sadness and grace

treads a path of beauty,

bells, ribbons and bows

“Where’s the circus, lady?”

the colour splodges, the last splash,

hardened to grey

on a palette

the wheelchair and window

no more breeze to flutter.
