Week Thirty-Seven

I’ve been home a week. It’s true what they say the more things change the more they stay the same. It’s like I never even left. It is wonderful to be back. As amazing as Facebook and other social media sites are nothing beats a hug from your family. Nothing beats meeting your neice for the first time and have her tugging a chunk of your hair. Nothing beats drawing chalk fishes on the ground with your nephew. Nothing beats a family dinner and too many drinks. Nothing beats the familiar smell of your mothers perfume or the taste of food you’ve been missing. Nothing but nothing is like home and all these little sensory overloads I’ll carry back with me to Mexico until I can refuel again next summer. Next summer seems so awfully far away right now.
