BPTG Upcoming Gigs!

In the next week or two there are some good gigs to get to and the next Phatlip open mic night. (Pavillion Bar, Belfast)
The Belfast Poets Touring Group are supporting Scroobius Pip on Saturday at the Out To Lunch Festival. The gig is at the Black Box and starts at 2pm – that’s this Saturday the 19th of January. We will be doing new material from our upcoming show “The Morning after the Summer of Love: 1968”

……………………………………………….
Scroobius Pip – http://www.myspace.com/lesacvspip -serves up a mean meal of nutritious Hip-Hop, with a dollop of jazz, nestled alongside a poetry vol-au-vent. One of the most feted spoken word artists on the circuit today, Out to Lunch is delighted to host this explosive afternoon of performance poetry.

Also featuring The Belfast Poets Touring Group. Recently returned from their second international tour to rapturous reviews in four continents, Gordon Hewitt, Phat Bob, Chelley McLear, Aisling Doherty and Ellen Factor present a taste of their full stage show back on home ground.

“Even if you don’t think you are a poetry lover you must see this. This kaleidoscope will at turns make you laugh and leave you stunned”. (Online audience review Minnesota Fringe Festival 2007)

…………………………………………….

On Friday 25th of January – the next Knights of the Round table will be at the Pavilion. The new open mic – Phatlip – starts at 8pm sharp – (I’m sure Phatbob will let everyone know what the procedures are to be part of it – mainly just get there)

Then from 9 onwards the Knights.

If Thomas Munzer and the rest of the Knights did what they do in Belfast, in any other city in the world they would be worshipped – Poetry – Art – Film – Music – slam poets – singer songwriters and a heavy doze of cross pollination – its all good.

9pm – the Knights

The Belfast Poets Touring Group will again showcase new material for our upcoming touring show.

Finally – the first Belfast Poets Touring Group Guerilla Gig – Derry February 2nd – 8pm – email gordonfrombelfastpoets@yahoo.co.uk – if you want information about who will be performing and where it is….. if yer names not down yer not gettin’ in!!!

I have visited this site on many an occasion now but this post is the 1st one that I have ever commented on.

Congratulations on such a fine article and site I have found it very helpful and informative – I only wish that there were more out there like this one.

I never leave empty handed, sometimes I may even be a little disappointed that I may not agree with a post or reply that has been made. But hey! that is life and if every one agreed on the same thing what a boring old world we would live in.

Keep up the good work and cheers.
